Sharing is Caring

Cap d'Agde Diaries 2019 - Part 2

We recount the final 3 days of our time in Cap d'Agde

The final three days of our trip to Cap d'Agde

Welcome to Episode 14 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

This episode is a part 2 of Cap d'Agde Diaries 2019, if you haven't listened to part 1, we recommend going back and listening to Episode 13 first.

We just got back from our trip to Cap d’Agde for just over a week. Every day we recorded a few minutes about what we had been up to the previous day, so the thoughts were fresh in our mind. Unfortunately, we didn't get to record during the final three days, but we made notes and recorded once we got back to London.

We also recorded a small section where we reflect on what went well, and what we would do differently next time.

We did also manage to arrange a special offer for our listeners. If you sign up for SpicyMatch using the referral code sharingiscaring, you will get three months free premium membership!

We enjoyed Cap d'Agde so much that we have booked to go back again at the end of this week with a friend! If you will be there between Friday 6th September and Monday 9th September, get in touch!

Feel free to get in touch or to submit a listener question for future episodes.

Cap d'Agde Diaries 2019 - Part 1

The first six days of our swinger vacation in Cap d'Agde

The first six days of our trip to Cap d'Agde

Welcome to Episode 13 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

This episode is a bit different, we just got back from our trip to Cap d’Agde for just over a week. Every day we recorded a few minutes about what we had been up to the previous day, so the thoughts were fresh in our mind.

After looking at all the recordings, the episode was going to be really long, so we’ve decided to release it as two episodes in a couple of days.

Our trip was quite different than expected, not only because we lost a couple days to getting sick in the middle, but because we ended up making so many great friends. The focus really naturally shifted to meeting people and building relationships above the sex.

We did also manage to arrange a special offer for our listeners. If you sign up for SpicyMatch using the referral code sharingiscaring, you will get three months free premium membership!

We enjoyed Cap d'Agde so much that we have booked to go back again next week with a friend! If you will be there between Friday 6th September and Monday 9th September, get in touch!

It’s a bit rough we were in our hotel room and it’s as much for our own memories as anything else. The recording quality isn’t the best and there is some background noise, but we hope you enjoy it.

Feel free to get in touch or to submit a listener question for future episodes.

Party Sandwich: A mixed experience

Being yelled at by security, Preparing for Cap, and transitioning to play time

Being yelled at by security, Preparing for Cap, and transitioning to play time

Welcome to Episode 12 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

In this episode we continue our journey and talk about our second Fever party!

For our catchup, we talk about starting to pack for Cap d'Agde, seeing Mew again, and Cherie considers getting her nipple(s) pierced

Main topic

In our journey continues with a mixed night at Fever. We have a great night, but it is soured by something bad at the end. We talk about how important the events surrounding a party are to add to the experience.

We then discuss what we have learnt from our last trip to Cap d'Agde and what we will do differently this time.

Listener Question

We answer a question from Fab Swingers: "We are new to the lifestyle and have been on two meets so far. Both were a lot of fun, but it took a long time for us to get the courage to move from talking to play time and it didn’t really feel natural. Do you have any suggestions on how to make this shift easier and more natural?"

From Friend to Unicorn

An interview with our first unicorn where we discuss the journey of transitioning from friends, to pants-off friends

An interview with our first unicorn where we discuss the journey of transitioning from friends, to pants-off friends

Welcome to Episode 11 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

After covering a heavy, serious topic last time, this episode is a lot more light hearted and fun! We have an interview with a good friend. We have all had a few drinks and are having some fun, so it is a bit chaotic (and a nightmare to edit!), but there is some good stuff in this episode, so it's worth a listen.

For our catchup, Cherie talks about a vanilla event which she recently attended where the conversation turned to sex parties. We then recount Mew's recent sexy sleep over.

Main topic

Our main topic is an interview with Cyan, who was originally a school friend of Kiwi. Cyan also moved to Europe, and eventually London.

In the interview with Cyan, we discuss our first experience converting from pant-on to pants-off friends. This is the first time we have all discussed it in depth together.

Listener Question

We answer a question from Fab Swingers: "What is a Unicorn?"

Our take on Bisexuality... in a Nutshell

Discussing what bisexuality means to us and how it has impacted our lives

Discussing what bisexuality means to us and how it has impacted our lives

Welcome to Episode 10 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

It's a heavier topic, so this show is slightly shorter.

This is an episode I’ve been really looking forward to, and worried about. It’s such a large complex topic and I want us to get it right, but still be entertaining! So to preface this episode, just a reminder that we are by no means experts and we’re on a journey of figuring all this out.

For this podcast we’ll talk a bit about what bisexuality is, we’ll cover the kinsey scale, and briefly talk about labels. Then we’ll discuss how we experience the lifestyle from the perspective of being a bi couple, and finally how being bi influences our every-day lives

We are recording this on the final of pride month and we’re going to release it on the week leading up to London Pride, which is next Saturday 6th July! We’ll be there to party and we’ll bring along a few stickers.

In our catchup we talk about our recent trip to the coast to visit the Bed Hoppers! While visiting, we did a short session recording for their up-coming podast, so check out their next episode if you want to hear!

Main topic

In our main topic we briefly cover: - The Kinsey Scale - A modified scale to account for various types of attraction - Labels - Bisexuality vs Pansexuality - Being bi in the lifestyle - How being bi impacts our every-day lives - Some issues faced by the bi community - A few famous people throughout history who were/may have been bi

Listener Question

We revive an old listener question from episode 3/4 when we first mentioned that we are bi and answer: “How long have you known that you were bisexual and when do you first remember being attracted to men/women?”

Round Two in Cap d'Agde

Kiwi's First Bisexual Experience

We return to Cap d'Agde and Kiwi's has his first Bisexual Experience

Welcome to Episode 9 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

Before recording this episode we had been up all night (after a date went very well). As a result of being so tired, our accents are strong and our our stories are tangential!

In this episode we’re going to talk about our second visit to Cap d’Agde. So If you haven’t listened to part one which was our first visit, it’s worth listening to that first. It was episode 8, the episode before this. Our first visit was quite tame. We were only there for two nights and one full day, so by the time we started to get into the mood it was time to leave. This time we came back prepared…

Main topic

For our main topic we recount our sexy adventures during our second visit to Cap d'Agde, staying at Le Jardin d'Eden. There was little sleep and much play... but you'll have to listen to find out more!

Listener Question

This time we answer a listener feedback e-mail about why we aren't full swap.

Our first visit to Cap d'Agde

Swinging in the south of France

Swinging in the south of France

Welcome to Episode 8 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

In this episode we jump forward in time and talk about our first fisit to le Cap d'Agde!

Main topic

Since we are getting in the mood for our Cap d'Agde visit in August, we discuss our first visit to Cap d'Agde.

Le Cap d’Agde is literally translated as the cape of Agde and it is one of the largest leisure ports on the French Mediterranean. When most people talk about Cap d’Agde they talk about the naturist village, which is a self contained complex which is fenced off from the rest of the town, you need to pay to get in. In the naturist village there are hotels, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, night clubs, bars, post office, bank and ATMs, launderettes, hairdressers and other facilities. Looking on the official website, in all there are about 180 businesses in the village and the population grows up to 50,000 over peak season.

Listener Question

We answer a question about how to decide which swingers club to choose.

Getting our Kink on

Dabbling into BDSM and Kink

Dabbling into BDSM and Kink

Welcome to Episode 7 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London. This podcast is about our journey into sex positivity and ethical non-monogamy.

In this episode we talk about our recent experience with Cherie taking on a dominant role and how much we enjoyed the (new for us) experience.

Main topic

For the main topic, we start to explore Kink and BDSM. Disclaimer: We are new to Kink and BDSM, so probably make mistakes! But that's why this is our journey.

Since we are new to kink, we first define several terms using BDSM Wiki definitions: http://www.bdsmwiki.info We then discuss our limited experience and what we have tried, followed by discussing a list of the top 10 most common kinks in the UK (as per a LoveHoney survery from 2017). Finally, we compare our results from the BDSM test - https://bdsmtest.org

Listener Question

We answer a question about grooming in the lifestyle and how pubic hair is received.

Lifestyle Fatigue and Taking a Break

Swinger Burnout and why we haven't been as active lately

Swinger Burnout and why we haven't been as active lately

Welcome to Episode 6 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

Note: The sound quality is not as good in this episode, we will fix the problems for episode 7.

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London.

First things first, we have booked our holiday in Cap d'Agde! We will be staying at Le Jardin de Babylone from Saturday 17th to Sunday 25th August 2019. If you are planning to be in Cap d'Agde at the same time, get in touch!

For our main topic we talk about why we haven’t been as active over the last several weeks and address Lifestyle Fatigue, or Swinger Burnout. We discuss potential causes, including: - Illness - Pregnancy and childbirth - Too much going on in normal life - Too much going on in lifestyle - Relationship issues

We go on to answer a couple questions:

How do you relationships while having a break?

and

How long we take a break for? / When is it time to return?

We then explore ways to explore and manage fatigue: - Make time for yourselves and your relationship - Use a calendar - Prioritise who you want to spend your time with

Listener Question

We answer a question submitted by someone who read our review of Le Boudoir on reddit:

We've been enjoying lifestyle clubs for a while now, but are a little nervous about Le Boudoir. We've seen a bunch of reviews where couples go and then either get asked to not attend again, or are not invited to attend in the first place. We are both conventionally attractive with a touch of alternative so not too worried on that front. Our main curiosity is just what the crowd was like when you were there? We have been led to understand that fairly heavy people are basically not invited to attend. Our male half is a hair off normal BMI, and female half is around size 14-16 so we are not big, but are not gym fit either. We are losing weight and firming up and have been for a few months now (thanks swinging!), but are trying to figure out if we should get slimmer and fitter first before applying and attending, or if we are already fairly average compared to the crowd there and would be safe to take the plunge. If you could share some thoughts as to what you saw with the average and lower ends of the crowd in terms of appearance, that would be really helpful in assisting us understanding the thresholds! Much appreciated and thanks for the review from a couple of months ago.

Tinder and a Blanket Fort in New Zealand

Recruiting a new Unicorn from Tinder

Recruiting a new Unicorn from Tinder

Welcome to Episode 5 of Sharing is Caring the podcast!

We are Kiwi and Cherie, a New Zealand and French couple living in London.

We are finally back from our holiday in New Zealand! After being home for a week, the jetlag is fading but Kiwi's NZ accent is still strong.

Catchup:

Neither of us had ever used Tinder before, so while in Dunedin we decided to download and try out Tinder for the first time with a couples profile. We were lucky enough to meet a beautiful single woman who shared some of the same interests as us... Blanket forts!

Continuing the Journey

For this portion of telling our story we talk about inviting "Tina" and "Josh" over to our flat for a bit of soft fun. Cherie's favourite part was definitely the massage with coconut oil at the end.

Listener Question

We answer a question submitted by a friend of ours:

I’m single and want to get into the swinging scene and want to meet up with couples to play, but I don’t want to just be seen as a kind of novel for couples to use without considering my feelings.
